#STUDENTNEWS ⭐️ - We want to take some time to highlight Bachelor of Theatre Arts student, Brook Galsky!

This summer, Brook has been with the New York Neo-Futurists as part of their internship program titled “The Watch”. Brook has worked in various capacities - including shadowing technical collaborators, operating lights, marketing, and prop acquisition - to help produce their weekly show titled “The Infinite Wrench”, a collection of 30 original plays performed in 60 minutes, in The Asylum Theatre off-Broadway.

👑 MX. WALGREEN 2026 👑

a little over a week ago i had the opportunity to compete in the 5th annual mx. walgreen drag pageant with @latenightbaaaa at umich. i am so excited and honored to have taken home the crown!! it was a wonderful first competitive experience, and everyone involved was so talented and kind. had so much fun and it feels good to perform again 💋

i could not be more grateful for my first UProd experience! doing dramaturgy for this deep, rich, complicated show was the most amazing opportunity i could ask for and a perfect introduction to dramaturgy as a whole (thank you, Karin Waidley and Brook Galsky for the guidance and inspiration). i was continuously blown away by this cast and creative team and humbled to play a role in actualizing director Judy Moreland’s brilliant vision for this work. Gloria is a heavy story about exploitation, toxicity, and pain — but it is also a story about creation, breaking cycles, and compassion. i feel so privileged to have gotten to explore those themes in the world of the show and my own life over these weeks, and it was a wonderful reminder of why i love this art form. ❤️
