$Lilith, Come Home is a film about what happens when loneliness has nowhere left to go. I grew up as an only child in Los Angeles, in a home where love and instability often existed in the same room. There were moments where I felt deeply cared for, and other moments where I felt invisible. When you grow up around emotional unpredictability, you learn how to read silence. You learn how to survive the mood of a room before you ever learn how to explain what you’re feeling. This film came from that place. Lilith is a teenage girl trying to move through a world that has already taught her to disappear. Her home is neglectful, her friendships are fractured, and the one person she wants to reconnect with feels just out of reach. Ruth, the violent figure who follows her, is not meant to be a monster in the traditional sense. She is the part of Lilith that cannot stay quiet anymore. She is protection, rage, shame, and survival all taking shape at once. I wanted the horror in this film to feel emotional before it felt physical. The body horror is not about transformation in the obvious way. It is about the way pain can distort your sense of self. The way isolation can make your own mind feel like an unsafe place. The way a person can become split between who they are, who they wish they were, and who they fear they might become. This short was made with limited resources, a small crew, and a lot of trust. Everyone involved gave something real to it. We were not trying to make something clean or safe. We were trying to make something raw, uneasy, and emotionally honest. At its core, Lilith, Come Home is about the fear of being forgotten, the damage of neglect, and the dangerous comfort of the parts of ourselves that promise to protect us. It is about wanting to be seen, but being terrified of what someone might see when they really look. For me, this film is not just about horror. It is about survival. It is about the emotional violence people carry long before anything physical happens. It is about the quiet moments that shape us, haunt us, and follow us home.$
