Dear softball,
Where do I even start? After 12 years, it crushes me having to write this because it feels like just yesterday I had gotten my first ever hit. I never knew how much a sport can make such an impact on your life. I will never forget the adrenaline-pumping feeling of running around those bases, or making a game winning play with your heart racing. It is truly a feeling you won’t find anywhere else. This sport was there for me at my hardest times; it forced me to focus on one thing and one thing only and that is something I will forever yearn and cherish. It tought me that you are going to fail more than you are going to succeed, and when that happens, you get back up and try again. Softball has brought me many teammates, friends, coaches, and extremely talented opponents that I wish all the best for. I can’t thank my dad, my coaches, my teammates and everyone enough for supporting me in this unforgettable chapter of my life. I wish it would keep on going, but all good things do have to come to an end. By far the hardest goodbye there is.
