Executive Director Mackenzie England * Position: Executive Director * Year: Senior * Major: Sociology * Why I Joined LC Miracle: I joined LC Miracle to help kids and families across the country. * Fun Fact: I volunteer at 7 different organizations throughout LaGrange. Vice President Brooke Coleman * Year: Senior * Major: Psychology and Sociology * Why I Joined LC Miracle: I joined the LC Miracle Executive Board because I have a special place in my heart for Children’s Miracle Network! I was diagnosed with an autoimmune disease at Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta when I was 18 months old, and without them, my life would look completely different. I truly love that I was given the opportunity to be a part of something bigger than myself. I think every kid deserves to be a kid and deserves the chance to grow up! * Fun Fact: I can jump rope on a pogo stick and moonwalk. What an incredible weekend Kenzie, Brooke, and Ella had at Ignite! 💙 From learning new fundraising strategies and leadership skills to connecting with passionate students from across the country, this experience reminded us of the power of our mission. Meeting the National Champions and hearing their stories put into perspective why every event and every dollar raised matters. We left feeling inspired, equipped with new ideas, and more motivated than ever to bring these lessons back to campus. WHAT. A. WEEKEND. Thank you, Ignite, for enlightening me about the incredible nature of Children’s Miracle Network. While fundraising is a significant aspect, there are SO MANY behind-the-scenes elements that most people overlook. I am incredibly grateful for the opportunity to have gained a deeper understanding of these aspects. Growing up, I received medical care and unwavering compassion from the doctors, nurses, and staff at Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta, despite navigating multiple health challenges. Their support inspired me to give back through Children’s Miracle Network. By donating to Children’s Miracle Network, we ensure that children and families have access to the necessary treatments, specialized equipment, innovative research, and compassionate care, regardless of the obstacles they encounter. Every donation holds the power to make an impact, providing children like our national champions with the opportunity to heal and envision a brighter future. Your generous donations have a profound and lasting effect on the lives of countless individuals. I am deeply grateful for the chance to meet some of the national champions, witnessing firsthand how donations contribute to their well-being. These children are incredibly loving and energetic, and it is due to the support of individuals like us that they can continue to thrive. Three Senior Capstones, Two Degrees Summa Cum Laude…long story short I survived 🤍🤍🤍 Someone influential to me once said “I want to be defined by the things that I love” and if I am defined by these people, this place, and the work I did here then I did something right. Thank you LC for teaching me more than just in the classroom on how to love deeper, better, and wiser. To my best friends and the best sisters I know I have for life I could not have survived without y’all and I’m eternally grateful for the love given always and unhesitatingly! 🎓🪩💫🍾 Goodbye LaGrange for now, see you in October if not sooner 🖤❤️
