Well it’s official. I start vet school at TAMU on Monday!!! 🤩 feeling so many emotions right now, but I’d like to take the opportunity to reflect on some of the experiences, people, and most importantly, the animals that got me this far 💓

My biggest supporters.

Dr. Gary Norsworthy welcomed me into Alamo Feline and gave me more than just a job. I started working for him right out of undergrad and I had no clear vision for my future. It didn’t take long after being at his practice that I knew I wanted to seriously pursue veterinary medicine. I am so grateful for the opportunities I was given at his clinic and for the feline knowledge that I will carry with me for the rest of my career. This is not the end of our story though, I will be back. Thank you Nors for being the best doctor, mentor, and “Cat Jesus” 😸

SARAH!! You have played such a huge role in my life. I am so grateful to have you work by my side and support me. You honed my skills as a technician but also as a person. I would not be who I am today without your help, and free therapy 😝 I did not know when I first met you that we would be such great friends, and I know you didn’t either, especially after I would stand in your way during surgery 😂😂 You have inspired me in so many ways, and I hope when I graduate from vet school I can be half the doctor you are. I know you are proud of me, but I am so proud of you, and so blessed that I have been there to support you in your journey. I will see you soon my friend. Te amo 💗💗💗

This years Hawkwatch celebration was a lot of fun and we got to see many birds, including large kettles of Broad-winged hawks as they migrate south for the winter.
