Craziest experience of my life. @dunkmanofficial Group Stage D was insane. Between getting to compete against 3x NBA Dunk Contest Champ Mac McClung and then hearing that the best one foot dunker of all time (@1footgod) was joining last minute, it was just a crazy day.

Way higher stakes than anything I’ve done before, but I feel like I stayed pretty composed and did the dunks I planned on doing. The three I made (Dubble Up X over my brother on a chair, Hand-Off 180 Eastbay with my girlfriend holding the ball, and Inverted Scorpion over someone) are three dunks I really love, and it was especially cool to bring that Inverted Scorpion to the world stage.

Making the finals alongside seven of the best dunkers in the world in the first ever professional dunking league is crazy and I’m super excited to compete. I’m pretty happy with how the first round went, but I still have a ton of room to improve, and given I’ve got another two decades or so to do it, I can confidently say this is the worst you’ll ever see me.

So cool to meet and talk with some absolute legends in the basketball and dunking space. Super thankful my family was able to come out, and shout out my brother (@granthaugen11) and my girlfriend (@brookelancee) for helping with a couple of the dunks. Huge thank you to everyone at home and everywhere else who tuned in live.

Also huge shout out to @shaq, @tfbchucktheboss, and the rest of the @dunkmanofficial team for another great weekend and for genuinely making me feel like a pro athlete.

Excited for next week, good luck to all the guys. For everyone else, make sure to tune into TNT/HBO Max on Tuesday, August 25 at 7 PM central for the first ever DunkMan World Championship.
