It starts with cutting, pinning, sewing and figuring it out as I go.

Then, little by little, it becomes the piece I had in my head.

That’s one of my favorite parts of upcycling — taking something familiar and turning it into something no one else is going to walk in wearing.

Because in the end, we’re not just making the outfit.

We’re making the entrance.

Super soft glam for NFL Seattle Seahawks Wifey, @brookemorris____ , the other day! 🏈🦅💙🏆💚

Always fun to hear the ins and outs of their lifestyles and careers during appointments like these!

Hi, I’m Tina, the maker behind Folktown. I take pre-loved clothing and turn it into completely original game-day and concert looks.

I’m bringing you along for more of the process — from the first cut to the finished piece.

Have something you’d love to transform? Send me a message.

Had the most amazing afternoon with the Seahawks ladies! 💙💚 These are the incredible women behind the amazing players, and behind every great man is a great woman. These ladies deserve to be celebrated, too! ✨

Thank you @naomioluwatimi , for giving us the opportunity to serve our special matcha created just for the girls — The Hawkcha 🫐🍵 Housemade blueberry sauce layered with ceremonial matcha and topped with butterfly pea cream. Our vision was to create a little piece of art in every cup, inspired by Seahawks colors. 💙💚

A special thank you to @smithbrotherspnw for sponsoring the milk and macarons for today’s event! 🤍 Be sure to shop their home delivery website for the perfect Game Day macarons! 🏈

And ladies, we hope to see you again at another event! Here’s to all the players kicking off the best season yet. Go Hawks! 💙💚🏈

GET READY WITH ME | GAME DAY EDITION

Making my fit for the kickoff of football season in Seattle today.

Preseason is here, and I’m back in the workroom playing with new silhouettes, different ways to upcycle traditional game day pieces, and ideas I’ve been wanting to try.

I’ll be creating new looks throughout the season — wear-testing them myself first, of course 😂 — and offering my favorites as inspiration for your own custom Folktown game day fit.

Today, we’re making the pants. ✂️🏈
