I had one of the best days of my life yesterday when my oldest son asked his girlfriend to marry him! Now, they have new titles: fiancé & fiancée, and so do I: Mother Of The Groom!

Eric was suuuuuper nervous & Brooke was absolutely, completely, totally clueless which led to a verrrrry surprised girl standing on a tall platform overlooking the lake holding a diamond ring in between her thumb & pointer finger asking “Are you serious?” & “Is this a joke?” several times. 🥰 It was so special & I was so very blessed to be included.

No plans yet, but they’re going to enjoy this precious time & make lists of how they want their wedding to look. I know it will be perfectly THEM. I can hardly wait—I hugged her & whispered, “You’re going to be my daughter!” How awesome is that????

What started it as a simple after-meet meal shared became a standing date after wrestling tourneys & football games. From friends, to family. These are my people, without judgement, with 100% loyalty & unconditional love.

Tonight we met for the very last time this summer, as Jayden heads off on Monday to college/ football camp & Kaylee to her summer classes at UNMC. I know this isn’t it for this #framily, it will just shift from Friday nights to Saturday afternoons.

(If you need me, Mama Sutton will be in the corner with her emotions. 💔)

Love you all! I’m excited for this next chapter. Don’t forget to come raid the pantry once in a while, Jay. 😂

My best girl turned 16 last week & instead of a Sweet Sixteen party, she opted to invite just a select few friends to a nice dinner at a delicious sushi place in town. She had a great time and I did too! What great kids!
