Saturday we attended our first @ou_rowing event and it was so much fun! This weekend was the Head of the Oklahoma Regatta at OKC Riversport Boathouse District 🚣🏼 so we got to take our Rhett with us and he had the best time- of course he thought everyone was there to see him lol! 🐶 Eric cut up a shirt that had a hole in it to make him a bandana so he could rep the podcast for mom. And I got to meet 2 of the rowing girls who will be coming up on the podcast soon- @oliviaenkema and @brooklyn.kate ! It was beautiful weather and a great atmosphere! So glad we got to go!

That one time that Brooklyn became captain of her university team. Can’t stop, won’t stop! We never stop wondering what’s next because if she can, she will. If she thinks it, she does it. Like at this point, who’s kidding who? Because didn’t we all know this was bound to happen? She is a BADASS and man, we are so so proud! From walk on, to captain. GO BROOKLYN GO! 🤍❤️

Happy first day of school to my OU crew! Brooklyn is pursuing her B.A. in Education, Wyatt is working on his B.S. in Engineering, Avery is earning her Doctorate in Dentistry, and Grace is finishing up her MBA in Finance. So proud and excited for these kids of mine! ❤️🤍 #boomersooner

Not the ending I imagined, but sometimes god has a different plan for you.

After long thought, due to injury and nursing school, I’m retiring from rowing.

It all started with an informational meeting where I told myself, “I’ll try it for 2 weeks,” and somehow turned into something I completely fell in love with. This sport has taught me more about life and myself than I ever could have imagined.

I’m incredibly grateful for everything it has given me over the past two years—the memories, friendships, and lessons that I’ll cherish forever.

Now it’s time for a new chapter: nursing school. 🩷⚕️

Thank you OU rowing, for everything! ❤️
