Although I am saying goodbye, cheerleading has poured into me in ways that will last a life time. As someone who didn’t always have the most confidence, I truly believe cheerleading was my missing piece. It’s impossible to put into words how much this sport has built me into the person I am today. This sport showed me my true strength not only on the outside but also within. I learned that I am trusted, important, and most of all, capable. I owe the biggest thank you to all of my teammates and coaches who taught me how to believe in myself. I could never thank each and every one of them enough for the everlasting impact they have made on me. These people made the blood, sweat and tears not so bad after all. I love you all more than words can describe.

To my mom and dad, all the sacrifices you have made in the last 10 years are beyond appreciated, and I truthfully could not have done this without you both. Thank you for believing in me every step of the way and making my dreams come true. I love you.

@stephhcal_ Thank you for taking a chance on the girl who never cheered a day in her life! I am forever grateful that you were my coach both in middle school and high school. I could not have asked for a better first experience in cheerleading. @carly_salzman Thank you for making my senior year of cheerleading so special. Ending on such an amazing year solidified my decision to cheer in college, and that was the best decision I have ever made.

Towson cheerleading, thank you for giving me the support system I truly needed the most. To my coaches and teammates, thank you for pushing me to my highest potential. I wouldn’t be the athlete, better yet the person I am without this program. I am so lucky to have been a part of such a beautiful experience that I will forever cherish, and have shared it with friends who I now call family.

It feels like just yesterday that I was a homesick freshman. Now I’m sitting here saying goodbye to what became my home for the past four years. Time flies when you’re having fun❤️
