Girls State is where I learned more about politics, feminism in all forms, and the worst sleeping schedule of my life (@gayatrigautham,What about us who need 8 hours 🙁??).

On the way to Grand Forks, I was late, scared, and full of regret. I almost turned back when I saw the UND gate . Especially as a WOC, I wasn’t sure if I’d belong. But by the end, I cried because I didn’t want to leave.

I’ll miss my city, the convos that made me laugh ‘til I couldn’t breathe, the chaos (except the emergencies 😭), and the way y’all made me feel free. @gabrielle13269 , best mayor ever. My cabinet and party — FEDS RULEEE LOLLL and you guys where the major highlight this week, thank you for trusting me. Every girl I met had a magic spark, and I was lucky to witness it.

We laughed, voted, budgeted, and cried. On Sunday, I thought I’d regret coming. On Friday, I regretted nothing (okay… except them breakfast eggs ….).

Thank you for electing me Governor and Girls Nation delegate. You changed my life. I’ll never stop advocating and I hope you don’t either. Overall, thank you for making the experience come alive.
This was the best thing that happened to me in my life.
When I’m older, or just thinking of something that makes me happy , I’ll be thinking of y’all. 💗

(I took a nap the other day and my dream was my city sitting at the table ,with y’all making my stomach hurt, as always 😭)

Never stop pushing.
Never stop being you.
Stay magical because , that’s when the magic happens. 🪄🦄🧚‍♀️

— Governor Minou 🤵🏽‍♀️| @ndgirlsstate

P.S. I have a future project involving advocacy in the state — STAY TUNED!! If you ever need anything , starting a speech team, a Congress team, help with public speaking, or just anything in general , my DMs are always open! :)
