Fusilli in a lacinato kale pasta dish topped with toasted Parmesan bread crumbs. We used a recipe from @brooklynsupper and it was DELICIOUS. We always write down our top 5 favorite dishes of the year and this one has already been deemed a “Best of 2025.” #pasta #date #datenight #dinner

Stoofpotje van kip met wintergroenten onder een bladerdeegdakje. Ik volgde het recept van @brooklynsupper maar ik had niet gezien dat het voor 10 personen was 🙈 - wij weten wat er de volgende dagen op het menu staat 😆

Oh my cod!

@themodernproper’s recipe for Cod & Potatoes in Rosemary Cream Sauce packs a lot of flavor to pair with this light and flaky fish. We paired it with @brooklynsupper’s recipe for Parmesan Green Beans with Fried Shallots for a veggie side, and they were delicious on their own and while sopping up the leftover sauce from the fish.

Find the recipes for both linked in bio!

Pre Baby Goal #3: make a gluten free dinner every Saturday that surprises @maddie__adair at least a little bit.

She works 12 hours on Saturdays (usually for the 4th time in a work week), and I spend my weekends working and losing my mind with any unstructured time I come across. I also was not cooking outside of my comfort zone ever. Steak and asparagus and Brazilian cheese bread is great, but when I’m mailing it in each time it’s a little less special.

Now I have to plan a bit, think of how to maker smile (gluten free is still pretty limiting in the restaurant world), and learn a little with each experiment.

This week we had Tomato Soup with Gluten Free Grilled Cheese Soldiers. Other than almost having tomato sauce instead of soup after forgetting chicken broth for 15 minutes, this was a fun one.

This one was based on a recipe I found by @brooklynsupper and other than the cayenne pepper and still not using a timer (more lack of planning than thinking I have some gift of internal timing), the final product was thanks to them.

The grilled cheese were made with sourdough from @levenbakingcompany and then we used freshly shredded Gruyère and Cheddar for the cheese. Plus a little shredded Parmesan under each piece of bread for a cheesy crust. Oh and plenty of butter.

I probably would salt the pan next time if I was being super picky. But really this turned out so good.

Buttermilk Apple Cake. So nice, made it twice! 😁

🍎 Had leftover buttermilk after the holiday. Generally have tons of apples on hand.

🍏 Easy recipe from @brooklynsupper . The cake is so moist! I prefer reducing the nutmeg in the recipe as the spice can be overwhelming for me. Pop of lemon zest flavor is spectacular and the one I'm chasing.

🍎 Pour yourself a cold glass of milk or some hot tea with this one.

you’re in for a very good treat 👻
Ok, so this is my favorite salad recipe ( I rarely do salads because they’re often too *cold* and raw for my TCM preferences). This one though, is WARM and so so delicious. Addictive, really. Perfect for Halloween 🍂 The juicy burst from roasted grapes is something else. It also doesn’t hurt that it’s full of fantastic nutrients from the squash, kale and grapes. By the way, my salad photos are from 2018, can you even? Time flies 👋🏽

Xx

P.S You can probably easily sub the vinaigrette with your favorite store-bought versions

Tomorrow marks 1 year since Everyday Cake was published! so I thought it would be fun to showcase a few of the cakes you all baked from the book since it's release. Thank you to everyone who shared your bakes with me- whether that's through social media, a text, or in person . I think any cookbook author would agree: to see someone using your book and loving it is the highest compliment of them all ♥️♥️ #everydaycake
