is it just me or is the nyc DIY scene in a new golden era? 🤩 it feels like a grassroots moment, events by the people and for the people. 🫱🏻‍🫲🏽

i’m so grateful to these organizers for creating spaces for people to come together through music. i went to four DIY shows last week and each one felt like home. you’re what keeps new york’s music culture alive.

first things first, who got tickets to Angine De Poitrine at LPR or Ear at the 34th Street Heliport? i’m happy for you, but just a little jealous! i’ll be away at techno summer camp this weekend, so i expect y’all to hold it down for me in the city.🗽there is a lot of do, from jazz lofts, to local bands, to day parties with house music legends. if I’m still kicking, maybe you’ll catch me at one of the many amazing shows/parties happening this sunday (my favorite day of the week). take a look at my top picks and Imk what else you recommend in the comments. 🎵♾️

We are def looking forward to one of the hottest events of this series when @aarondjuan and @sunthekevin step into the arena and show their skills. See you at the event!!! Not to be missed!

We would also like to take this time to shout out the absolute monster saxophonist @miketroymusic93 for joining us for our “Battle Royale #7 and playing some serious saxophone all night long!

I’m excited to announce I’m bringing my Vortex concert series back to my hometown of Wilkes-Barre, PA! On June 26th we’re teaming up with the incredible historic Frederick Stegmaier Mansion. I’m performing with my trio @smallyfunk and @joemichaelsbass127 as well as inviting some esteemed musical guests I’ve known since childhood!! We’ll play a set of original works and then open it up to local musicians to join. To top it off the Frederick Mansion is mind-blowingly renovated to transport you into a bygone era, and the event will be providing some delectables and beverages. For tickets and more info go to thestegmaier.com/events

Friday June 26, event begins at 7pm
