thank you, McCarren.

Light Up McCarren was only possible because so many people came together around a shared belief in public tennis and what these courts mean to our neighborhood.

we’re incredibly grateful to everyone who donated, volunteered, bought merch, played in our ladders and tournaments, came to an event, shared our story, and helped us get here.

a big win for our neighborhood, for Brooklyn tennis, and for the community that made it happen.

made possible in partnership with @nycparks, @ustaeastern and @usta.

and with the support of an incredible group of opening night partners: @cpfnyc, @vanleeuwenicecream, @leonsbagelsnyc, @racquetmag, @maisonperrierusa, @rhythmzeronyc, @wilsontennis,
@variouskeytags, @brooklynchallengertennis, @raysbarbk, @upstatestock.bk, @tchochocolate, @aj.fitnyc, @velvetturtleevents, @thetravelingstringer and @furisport.

for the community, by the community. thank you, McCarren.

From a destination wedding overlooking the sea in Scopello,
to an intimate elopement whispered inside an ancient abbey,
to a civil ceremony on an empty stage in Teatro Cicero —
love showed us it can be lived in countless forms.
Loud or quiet, shared or private, surrounded by many or by no one at all.
Always true. Always theirs.
