It’s been real. It’s been fun. It’s been real fun.
Words can’t even describe everything I am feeling right now and have been feeling.
I would first like the thank Stratford Football for the last 4 years of high school, 2 years of middle school, and 4 years of youth.
I would like to thank all of my coaches for all of the times they have helped me on and off the field.
I would like to thank all of my teammates for playing along side me and putting up with me, I will never forgot the memories we made together.
I would like to thank every single person in my family, I couldn’t even count to amount of family members that have attended at least one of my games, it means the world to me.
I would like to thank my parents for taking me to games and practices, I would like to thank them all of the things they have gotten me and things they have done for me to help me succeed.
I would also like to thank my brother. Without him I do not know where I would be today. The amount of things he has taught me can’t be counted, from all of the morning lifts starting back in 8th grade (I would have to wake him up) to the nights we spent talking about football, and playing in the backyard since we were little. Every little thing counts. Without him I do not know the type of player and person I would be today.
Even though he fell up short in our last season, I will still forever be grateful for the things that the team and I have accomplished, 3 time state champs, 4 time state semifinalists.
The moments I have made with every single one of my teammates is something I will cherish for the rest of my life. You’re all brothers to me.
Football has made me become a better player, person, leader, friend, son, brother. The amount of values and lessons that this sport has taught me are infinite.
It’s not the losing that is the hardest part for me, it’s the fact knowing that I’ll never get to share another down with my best friends ever again.
Once again, thank you to everyone that has been apart of this amazing story in my life.
I will forever love football and I would do anything just to wear that Stratford jersey on the field for another second.
