POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

I sometimes think my life moves so fast I don’t have time to properly process the enormity of the amazing things that happen to me.
Last week I was in Glasgow working on the musical version of a sitcom I did thirty years ago. On Saturday I played myself in a short film and sat on a birthday cake, then did a talk and a book signing at Edinburgh university. Last night I performed my solo show on Broadway. Today I’m on a train enroute to the next adventure.
I feel completely free to be whoever and do whatever I want. I feel supported and loved by the people around me.
I marvel at my good fortune and the only logic I can ascribe to how or why this all happens is that I stay open to life and love, I try to be honest and authentic at all times, I always try to have fun and I value kindness above all. Also I don’t take any shit and I don’t fear confrontation.
And in spite of the earnestness of this post, I don’t take any of it or myself too seriously, or for granted!
A la prochaine!

Thank you to @helenfospero and @convexins for coming to interview me for your podcast about Co-ordinating the RA Summer Exhibition 2023 and my day job in the studio, with bonus picture of me working on Rick’s #sweetberrymountainfarm at Union Square Market NYC (listen to the podcast) 💪❤️
REPOST Painter @david_remfry_ra chats to me in his studio about the honour of coordinating this year’s @royalacademyarts Summer Exhibition and the thrill of championing other artists like @lindseymendick @paulsdash and designer @richardmalone
Surrounded by some of his beautiful work, David explains what’s involved; tells me stories of his colourful life in London and New York, and reveals his daily passion for dancing to Afrobeats :)
A proud Hull boy, David recalls how he bought an old van for £50 in the ‘60s, packed up his paintings and headed to London to pursue his dream of a life in art… Download our podcast at convex.podbean.com (link in bio) or search The Convex Conversation on @spotify etc @convexins
