The Gibson Brothers have a way of reminding us why we fell in love with bluegrass in the first place. Great harmonies, great picking, and a song that says it all: “They Call It Music.”

I always get them confused, but I’m pretty sure Leigh’s the one I like. Happy birthday to Eric’s little brother!

The @countrylivingfair was an absolute dream of a weekend in the Hudson Valley. With stunning autumn weather and a bevy of incredible talent - from antique sellers and craftsfolk to homemade food and folk musicians, fairground staff and the dream team at @countrylivingmag, there's little that could have made it better.

Which is why it such an honor to curate and present CL Fair’s first ever “Folk at the Fair” stage for you all, with a lineup headlined by @thesecretsisters, @brothersgibson, and @kaiakater. Thanks to all the musicians and crew that made it possible (and the apple cider donuts that fueled us). Our cup is full up with new friends, new fits, and an invigorated sense of community and creativity.

We'll start to plan for next year 🤭 Who do you want to see on the lineup at the next Fair?

@billboard just ran a feature on A Century of Strings, Stories & Songs: A Tribute to The Delmore Brothers. The Delmores were in Billboard more than 80 years ago. Now they’re back in it!

Before the Everlys. Before the Louvins. Alton and Rabon Delmore, two brothers from Elkmont, Alabama, were already pushing the music somewhere new. Blues in the country. Sibling harmony nobody else had. Songs that didn’t sound like the radio. “Blues, Stay Away From Me” hit No. 1. “Brown’s Ferry Blues” became a standard.

Jerry Salley produced it. Dr. Keith Ferguson led the effort for the Athens State University Foundation, with the Foundation and the Tennessee Valley Old Time Fiddlers Convention as executive producers. Fifteen songs. A hundred years.

The artists who answered: Ricky Skaggs, Doyle Lawson, Del McCoury, Bradley Walker, Trey Hensley, Jimmy Fortune, Marty Raybon, the SteelDrivers, Riders In The Sky, Darin & Brooke Aldridge, the Gibson Brothers, the Grascals, Chris Jones & The Night Drivers, the Malpass Brothers, Appalachian Road Show, Wood Box Heroes, Alex Miller, Carson Peters, Junior Sisk, and Don Rigsby.
