They say it takes a village, but our village showed up and then some. 🥣🛍️

When we first envisioned the “Bowl and Bag” food giveaway, we wanted to provide more than just groceries—we wanted to provide a moment of connection for our neighbors.

Seeing 165 of you come thru reminded us why we do this work. Community isn’t just where you live; it’s how we look out for one another.

A massive thank you to the partners who moved mountains to make this happen: @strawberrymansioncdc and @brothersofstrawberrymansion- Tyrone and Isaac..
Our community is grateful for your optimistic and selfless spirit.

To the 30 volunteers who spent their Saturday breaking down boxes, sorting produce, and serving with a smile— because of your help we were able to serve 165 people without a hiccup.

@peopleskitchenphilly for serving up those incredible hot meals.

The Philadelphia Sheriff’s Office for showing up to support the neighborhood.

@achievingfamiliesFoundation @penncareylaw and Skylar for proving resources

The Archdiocese of Philadelphia for the generous produce donation (as we all know, fresh produce is always the greatest need!).

Our long-time friend of the club, @gerrityphoto for your constant support. @nicolle.brio for organizing and coordinating and of course @fletcherstreeturbanridingclub members who helped set up, served food give pony, and made connections.

Whether you donated a bag of groceries or a few hours of your time, thank you for helping us serve Strawberry Mansion beyond the stables. We are already looking forward to the next one. 🐎✨

Put this exhibit on your to do list this month!

Xavier will be recognized along with other amazing young people @smithplayground as part of a Black History Month Exhibit. Thank you @outwardboundphl for nominating him.

This year, Leaders and Legends of Philadelphia: Youth Edition highlights Black youth taking meaningful action in their communities today.

As parents we are inspired everyday by Xavier's compassion for others. This is who he is... He used to try to give away his fruit snacks from his stroller. Watching that small act of kindness grow into a young life of service recognized by organizations that shaped his childhood is a full‑circle moment that moves us beyond words.

Congratulations to all the honorees.

Young leaders. Real impact. Revolutionary action.
