🚨 The reason behind to not work out during the healing process is because working out causes sweating. The salt in sweat will fade the pigment very quickly which in turn give poor outcome when the brows are healed. Sweating can also prolong the healing duration. The healed outcome takes team work so it’s important for clients to follow all pre- and post-care instructions.

Brow Correction is a more complex procedure which requires experience to transform client’s existing brow state into something better! 🫶🏼

There are FOUR factors PMU Artists should pay attention to before proceeding with #BrowCorrection Procedure:

👉🏼 Previous work has to fade to at least 50-60% in order to do color correction and cover up

👉🏼 If the client’s existing work is too saturated (too dark), brow lightening or removal services should be considered first. Client should consult with a removal specialist.

👉🏼 Previous work’s faded undertone: blue, green, purple, red, orange, pink, which often requires colour neutralization as step 1 before applying new target colour.

👉🏼 Scar tissues resulted from previous Microblading work can be challenging to work over as it may have completely altered the integrity of the skin .

👉🏼 Understand Client’s expectation and communicate the ideal healed outcome after assessing skin condition and existing work

*ON THIS POST :

Our client had previous Microblading done from only 1 session but the brows have scar tissues throughout. Due to the skin texture has changed, we have to be extremely careful working over the existing brow condition to reduce sensitivity and further trauma.

Only powdery shading technique was used. We’ve transformed this client’s brows with a softly powder look to balance out her hair colour plus matching her skin tone and undertone.

There’s a reason why they call touch ups “perfecting sessions” ☺️

Areas I focused on:
• Scar in the front of her left brow that she’s had since 2 yo. I tackled this area by stippling little by little during each pass, allowing it time to implant and develop before adding more color.
• Areas she has less hair to better blend with the areas where she has dark, dense hair

It’s so important to inform clients that brows are oftentimes a multi-session process. Never promise that brows will be perfect after just one session because there are so many factors that can impact the healed work— skin, lifestyle, aftercare, hormones, etc.
