Making this post is hard. Honestly I didn’t think this time would come but this last school year flew by like it was nothing. This post is to the best decision I have ever made which was around 4 years ago. Going to St. Francis DeSales is something I will never regret and is honestly something I will be eternally grateful for. The amount of support each and every person at DeSales has shown me throughout the last 4 years has been everything I could have asked for and more. For that I want to say thank you. If you would’ve told me going into high school that this is what I would be doing I would’ve told you that you were crazy. Photographing sports has become my passion and I am so glad it is. DeSales has given me every opportunity to do what I am passionate about and has given me some of my best friends I will have for life. To the end of an era, I just want to say thank you again DeSales, not only to the school and sports, but to the people who made the last 4 years so special to me. I am eternally grateful for each and every one of you and I can’t wait to see where this photography journey will take me. I will forever be a stallion at heart. Thank you again for the greatest 4 years I could ever ask for. Roll Stallions 💜🤍

Position Outlook

This Year: This running back room is absolutely loaded with talent. Jordan Marshall is coming off a season where he spent the first seven weeks backing up a Heisman Trophy candidate before taking over as RB1 and finishing with 900 rushing yards and 10 touchdowns. Now, Michigan adds five-star freshman Savion Hiter, who has drawn rave reviews from the coaching staff throughout the offseason. It’ll be interesting to see how the new offensive staff utilizes this room, but regardless of the scheme, these backs have the talent to capitalize on every opportunity.

The depth behind them looks solid as well. Bryson Kuzdal returning was a huge boost after briefly entering the transfer portal before deciding to stay in Ann Arbor. He flashed his potential last season and provides valuable veteran depth. Unfortunately, Micah Ka’apana suffered a season-ending injury during the offseason, opening the door for redshirt freshman Donovan Johnson and true freshman Jonathan Brown to climb the depth chart. I have Johnson slotted at RB5 mainly because he’s also coming off a season-ending injury last year and may be eased back into action as the season progresses.

Future: Looking ahead, there’s a very good chance Jordan Marshall declares for the NFL after his junior season. If that happens, Savion Hiter would be the obvious choice to take over as RB1 and could have two seasons leading the backfield.

The bigger question is who emerges behind him. Donovan Johnson arrived as a four-star recruit but didn’t see the field as a freshman, so this season will be important for his development. Jonathan Brown and Lundon Hampton are both intriguing developmental prospects with outstanding physical tools who may have been a bit under-recruited. They have the type of upside to follow a developmental path similar to Hassan Haskins and become impact backs over time.

Then there’s Tyson Robinson, the incoming four-star recruit. He has all the physical traits to become Michigan’s next featured running back, and it’ll be exciting to see what he can do once he arrives in Ann Arbor wearing the winged helmet.
