Building a home was always deeply personal. It asks for commitment and love and patience. And when done thus, with the earth, we are rewarded with a space that becomes a home, a living entity, for generations to enjoy.

Raghav is an architect and came to Geeli Mitti in 2020 for a full build workshop. He, like so many others, fell in love with #CobBuilding. Soon after, in 2021, he started building a Cob home on a challenging terrain in Rishikesh, along with his brother, Ansh. It took over 2 years but the journey was important. Today the house is most people's dream home, @tinyfarmfort

In 2024, Raghav under his firm, Tiny Farm Lab and Aishwarya, from Brown Dot Collaborative, together designed and did the interiors of a popular saree brand, Kalga Banaras, a 1300 sq ft store in the heart of Varanasi. Though the store structure is regular brick and mortar, the curvy interiors are crafted as #NaturalBuilding with #wattleanddaub and #cob and finished with clay-lime plasters. And that has imbued a warmth into the shopping experience that only mud can bring.

Raghav has since finished 3 Natural Building projects and multiple interior design projects. Watch this space as we share more of his works and of other Geeli Mittians, under #GeeliMittiansBuild

“In a world obsessed with performance, choose becoming over arriving.”

The talk begins with a simple metaphor: your brain makes a sound — an “ooh.”
That “ooh” is the spark of curiosity. The moment something clicks. The instant two unrelated ideas connect.

But the real question is this: what happens when we keep chasing those moments instead of chasing outcomes?

We begin to think across disciplines.
We become more adaptable.
We allow ourselves to be unfinished.

In a culture driven by optimisation and constant achievement, this idea feels radical.
Because growth is not about arriving fully formed.
It is about remaining open enough to keep becoming.
