The Almighty @easki_ just woke up the culture! 📢🔥He messed around and brought that heavy 80s Electro Funk flavor back to life on the TR-1000, and the West Coast street dance community is officially on notice. When those 808 booms and crisp snares hit, you already know the OGs and the new generation can’t resist. This is pure fuel for the floor! 💯Calling all:🤖 Robots & Poppers (That mechanical tick is perfect for the hits)🕺 Boogaloos & Strutters (Pure groove for those rolls and angles)🔒 Lockers (High-energy beats for the points and scoops)Hit the comments: Who is hitting the session to this track first? 👇#EASki #ElectroFunk #TR1000 #Popping #Locking Boogaloo Strutting WestCoastFunk StreetDance HipHopCulture BayAreaDance

I first connected with the dance style *Struttin’* back in the year 2000. Over the years, I’ve choreographed routines for battles and shows – and let me tell you, it’s one of the most complex and refined forms of choreography I’ve ever worked with. It challenges your timing, musicality, and character – but it’s pure joy.
Sadly, it’s not as present in today’s dance world as it deserves to be.
That’s why I’m excited about future projects where I aim to bring some of the pioneers of this art form to Germany and shine more light on this soulful, powerful dance culture.

It’s only fitting that #HHC brings the original elements back together for Hip Hop’s 50th. Not just the elements of #HipHop but the elements of the #EastCoast and #WestCoast that were developing simultaneously yet independent of each other’s influence in the 1970’s. Announcing @thestruttersroom special cypher/workshop for Hip Hop’s 50th with #DJ record scratch creator @therealgrandwizzardtheodore! Need we say more? Enjoy this free community dance party at @bvoperahouse next Wednesday 6/17! Hosted by @zacchosf & yours truly. #HHC #HipHop50 #hiphop50thanniversary
