I find it hard to believe, but today marks the 4th birthday of my album ”Memory Constructions”. The album that kickstarted @vargkvint ’s journey into stop motion - check out her @vargkv.art account for more - and an album that couldn’t have been completed without the help of some wonderful people.

Thank you so much @bruederselke , @pianoandcoffeerecords , @lichte_studio , @celia.bayo and @kulturradet.se for making me bring it to life - if you want to celebrate by getting your hands on a vinyl copy there’s a link in my bio! ❤️

🎤 HANNES KRETZER
@hanneskretzer

🎤 BRUEDER SELKE aka CEEYS
@bruederselke @ceeys_music

Drawing on the tactile resonance of the piano and the ephemeral textures of field recordings, sound artist @midori_hirano_ construct intricate sonic landscapes, where analogue warmth and digital nuance dissolve into harmony.

With her long-time collaborators, Potsdam-based duo @bruederselke, Midori Hirano closes the Kiezsalon at @dasminsk tomorrow, Thursday, 25 June. Also on the bill is French bagpiper Erwan Keravec.

Midori Hirano is a Berlin-based composer and sound artist originally from Kyoto. With roots in classical piano, her work inhabits the liminal space between structure and abstraction, the acoustic and the electronic.

‘Split Scale,’ her 2025 collaborative album with Potsdam-based, polyinstrumentalist duo Brueder Selke and her latest solo album ‘OTONOMA’ were both released on Thrill Jockey. PopMatters described the former as “imbued with a dark sense of mystery”, while Bandcamp Daily wrote of 'OTONOMA' that “everything is fitted together with elegance and musical wisdom.”

This Thursday, 25 June at Kiezsalon, she will be joined on stage by Brueder Selke for our final evening at DAS MINSK.

Some photos from the time spent in Germany. Thank you to everyone who came to the concerts, who stopped by and talked to us after, to new friends and to old friends making the shows happen and enriching the time in-between. It was so lovely to meet you all!

Now we are back in Stockholm putting the final touches to the release show for ”Jorden kallar” in St Sigfrids Church on the 22nd. I’m looking forward to this so so much! If you want to join us there is a link in my bio, I promise it will be truly special. 🤍

Instagram said it was a bad idea for me to share this live footage because it's long, but I don't care :D. Two years ago I was very happy to contribute a solo live performance I recorded at my own studio for the Q3Ambientfest 2024 organised and curated by @bruederselke (www.bruederselke.com). I played 3 tracks, Fade, Adieu and Still from my first album One released on @pianoandcoffeerecords. I finally found some time to share it and I hope it might bring you some joy ♥. Thank you Sebastian and Daniel for having me, @bonjoursergio for believing in this music and @mathieudraws for having been the audience in my studio that day.
