A top defensive midfielder in the 2029 class, Matt Keating is a fast, physical SSDM who brings an aggressive approach and strong footwork to the defensive end. Already competing on varsity as a freshman at Brunswick, Keating uses his speed and physicality to pressure opponents, while his ability to clear the ball, push transition and score makes him a threat on both ends. A dual-sport athlete who also plays football, he brings a competitive edge and athleticism every time he steps on the field.

Duke Lacrosse ‘32

I am extremely excited to announce my commitment to Duke University!

I would like to thank my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ for blessing me with the opportunity of my dreams and being by my side through everything!

I want to thank my Mom and Dad for their unconditional love and for always pushing me to be my best. Without you, I wouldn’t be half the person or player I am today. I am so grateful to have you as my parents and for all your sacrifice and support!

To my sisters Lauren and Kathryn, thank you for keeping me grounded, giving me a competitive spirit, and always cheering for me.

Thank you to Coach Hanford for being a second father to me and guiding me through every situation, good or bad. I always know I can count on you. I wouldn’t be in the position I am without you!

Thank you to my Brunswick coaches Bruce, Earl, Gilly, McGovs, and Brill for pushing me to be my best, always being in my corner, and making me grow a love for this game. These last two years have been the most fun I’ve ever had playing lacrosse!

Thank you to Hunter Bernard for being one of the best coaches and biggest role models I’ve ever had. You make me into the player I am!

To Coach Travis, Coach McClay, Coach Sunday, Coach Buzzeo, Coach Colsey, and Coach Koshansky, thank you for your confidence in me and for helping develop me into the player I am today. I’m grateful for your guidance and knowledge of the game and life.

I couldn’t have done this without my friends and teammates. Thank you for always pushing me, supporting me, and being there through it all. I’m so grateful for all the memories and everyone who has been part of this journey so far.

To Carc and McClain, thank you for always pushing me to be my best and motivating me to be great. I know I can always count on you guys, on the field and in life!

To Shane Foley and Parker Butler, thank you for keeping me healthy and pushing me in the weight room! Couldn’t be more grateful for both of you!

Sending a huge congratulations to Sawyer Bligh on his commitment to the University of Virginia. Sawyer is an ADVNC OG, coming to play with us when he was a little kid. Sawyer was a key member of the SF & NDP 2027 team for many years. Always tremendous player & great leader, Sawyer has developed into one of the best players in the country. We are thrilled for his success, & we are happy for his entire family. We can’t wait to see him play for the Wahoos. Way to go Sawyer!

I’m honored and excited to announce my commitment to the University of Virginia!

Mom and Dad, thank you for believing in me and encouraging me every step of the way. Your constant sacrifices and guidance have made me the man I am today.

Topher, Wells, and Oliver, thank you for being not only my brothers and role models, but also my best friends. Your belief in me has meant the world. I cherish every moment we’ve shared, and I couldn’t be more proud to be your little brother.

I want to thank Nana and Papa, as well as the Hausmann family, for your constant love and support.

I am incredibly grateful to The Brunswick School. Coach Bruce, Coach Gilsenan, Coach McGovern, Coach Earl, and Coach Mackesy, your commitment to me and belief in me have inspired me to become not only a better lacrosse player, but, more importantly, a better teammate and person.

I would also like to extend my gratitude to Tom Philip and Coach McGillicuddy, who are a big part of what makes Brunswick so special. Your endless support has helped make this opportunity possible, and I couldn’t be more grateful. The lessons I have learned at Brunswick will stay with me for the rest of my life.

I want to thank my coaches at ADNVC, Coach Rotelli and Coach BJ, for instilling in me a deep love for the game and giving me the opportunity to play and compete alongside my best friends from such a young age.

To all my WCS coaches—Coach Connor, Coach Blake, Coach O’Neill, Coach DeMaio, and Coach Cooper—thank you for giving me some of the most enjoyable and competitive lacrosse experiences of my life, along with friendships I will always value.

Thank you to Coach Zissi for always believing in me. I cannot thank you enough for everything you have done for me.

I also want to say a special thank you to Jules Henningberg and BJ Grill for being the greatest mentors I could have ever asked for.

I’m extremely excited and humbled to announce my commitment to the University of Virginia!

I’d like to thank my parents for their belief in me and everything they have done throughout the years to support my dream. Without their sacrifice and support, none of this would be possible. Both of you have been my biggest supporters throughout everything, and I am so thankful.

To Coach Napolilli, Coach Cross, and Coach Noble, thank you so much for sparking my love for lacrosse and developing me into the player I am today.

I cannot express my gratitude to Coach Bruce, Coach Gilsenan, Coach McGovern, and the rest of the Brunswick staff. The past two years at Brunswick have been amazing, and words cannot describe how grateful I am for Brunswick.

To all of my WCS coaches, Coach Connor, Coach Blake, Coach O’Neill, Coach Demaio, Coach Cooper, and Coach Zissi, thank you all for making WCS so enjoyable. I can confidently say WCS has been the most fun I have ever had playing lacrosse, thanks to you all.
