Destri’s big bull hunt was simply something that I can’t even begin to describe or put into words. The memories, emotions and feelings that I have from the entire weekend with my family and friends is something I will cherish forever. From hiking with my kids, laughing on the hillside with them and watching Destri with her Dad after she killed her giant bull. We hiked miles and miles to find the perfect bull for her.

On Sunday evening, after getting a tip from our cousin Wes, we planned to meet up with Eric and Steve. They made it there before us and spotted him. But it wasn’t going to be easy. We would have to take a very difficult hike in to get close enough for a shot. Once we got close enough, we were able to get comfortable and get destri set up for a good shot. She nailed him with 1 shot at 600 yards. Watching her with her dad still brings tears to my eyes. It is a moment I will never forget. The hike to get him wasn’t easy either, and by the time we got to him it was just about dark. So walking back to the truck was a long venture in the dark, but we did it. The kids were troopers! Wes had a huge cheering section waiting for us at the bottom and Destri was beaming with excitement. “Mom, this was by far the best day of my life!”
Me too sweetie!! I love you Destri and I could not be more proud of you. I can’t wait to hang him on our wall, even if he is bigger than mine! Thank you for the best memories yet! 🥰🥰
