Nabilah reached out to us last September and said, “Aunty Aminah, my wedding is next year and you’re the one planning it!”
I was so excited, I called her instantly to get the full gist 😅.

During the call, she asked, “Do you even know who I want to marry?”
I said, “Who?”
She said, “Abdul, Bashirah’s brother.”

I was shocked in the best way. We all grew up together, went to the same school. Bashirah was actually my closest friend in primary school before her family relocated to the UK, a year after we graduated.

Now back to Nabilah, she started as my favorite junior in school, then became like a little sister, and now, we’re family friends. We somehow ended up going to the same schools all the way through university (and it wasn’t even planned 😅). I genuinely care about and adore her.

That’s why planning this wedding is so special, because I’m planning my own sister’s big day. The process has been smooth, stress-free, and filled with joy. What I’ve loved most is how it’s brought back old memories and reconnected long-lost friends and families.

At the vendors’ meeting, Abdul’s mum saw me and said, “Your face hasn’t changed one bit!”
These are people we lost touch with after they moved abroad, it’s been so heartwarming to reconnect.

This wedding means so much to me. Nabilah trusted us with everything and when I say 100%, I mean 💯. No doubts 😅
