Hazy throwback time. Around this month marks 10 years since we shot this little music video for @arshad27 ’s “Mind Control”. It feels weird to say, but yeah this was a decade ago. This was back before we had reliable wireless systems, and LED’s couldn’t be trusted. Just a bunch of cable wrangling and hot lights! This was also my first time doing actual green screen work. Good times.

Slide 1: Much of the credit for these shots have to go to the VFX artist. I can only imagine how long it must have taken him to do this back in 2013 versus today.

Slide 2: Opening scene of the video, first setup on Day 1. We probably took way too long to set this scene up. My bad.

Slide 3: Again, hats off to the VFX artist for making it look like I knew what I was doing.

Slide 4: BTS shot on what appears to be a flip phone? Lighting-wise, we used primarily M18’s, Kino’s, Source 4’s, & other tungsten units.

Slide 5: More BTS. Baby Luke & Keenan on camera. I went down a rabbit hole to find these, so enjoy.

Shot primarily with the OG Alexa (aka Alexa Classic), Zeiss CP.2’s, and a Red Epic for some pickups.

Sorry if I forgot to tag anyone (which I did). 10 years will do a number on your memory and this whole shoot is now a blur in my mind. If I did forget to tag you, feel free to call me out in the comments.
