⚫️🟡FOOTBALL🟡⚫️

Presidents: Shayam Suseelan and Brad Hodgson

Captains: Ben Gallagher (1’s), Beau Patten (2’s), Alfie Horner (3’s), Jack Wilson (4’s), Henry Kaye (5’s)

Hi Langwith, I’m Ben. I am currently going into my Second Year to study Accounting and Finance. I am this years 1’s Captain for Langwith football club and on behalf of the club, Presidents and other Captains, I would like to wish you a warm welcome to Langwith!

I went along to the Langwith Football trials during freshers week and haven’t looked back since. I would definitely say joining Langwith football was the best decision I made last year. The club is the perfect place to make new friends. For example, 2 of my current house mates were first introduced to me through the langwith football trials! There are currently five teams so there is guaranteed to be a place for everyone, regardless of ability. Whether you just want to join for fun and have a kick around with your friends or if you want a bit more of a challenge there’s a team for you. We train once a week for 1 hour, every Monday, and also have a game every week. Off the pitch, there’s a weekly punch/social which is great fun, value and normally pretty lethal. There’s also plans in place to have a Christmas formal and a Summer formal. These are only a taster of the events on offer and when the year commences you’ll find out all that Langwith football has to offer.

If you have any questions don’t hesitate to get into contact with the club through the instagram page (@langwithmensfootball), or through the facebook page (Langwith Club de Futbol). I would highly recommend joining the facebook page as that will be the main source of information throughout the year. Alternatively, you can contact me directly through my email (bg872@york.ac.uk) and I would be more than happy to help with any questions you may have. I am very excited to get the year started and to meet you all!
