I've been trying to find the words to describe our feelings. Our beautiful puppy of almost 15 years ran into her heaven yesterday. She had been sick and we took her in for a scan and biopsy. The biopsy went horribly wrong and she had internal bleeding and passed. I held her with my family as she took her last breath. I didn't really have pets growing up. This is so much harder than I thought it would be. As much as it hurts and as much as I hate the fact that it all happened at the vets office and not at home, we were all able to be there to cry AND laugh as we told stories about her and told her how much we loved her. She did respond to my voice when I got there. She knew she was loved and we know that she loved us. For 15 years we have gotten up every morning at 5am and snuggled before I started my day. She was my morning partner...today just isn't the same. There will forever be a puggle shaped hole in my heart but with love and companionship, come inevitable suffering. Despite the suffering we are experiencing now, I will always be grateful for the wonderful blessing she was to me and my family. Rest in peace sweet girl. We love you now and forever. #puggles #family #dog
