These words by Sarah Damoff (The Bright Years) got me today. It’s a summer of firsts for our three (seven weeks apart for T and C, longer camp for C, a new camp adventure for B) and it’s requiring some courage on everyone’s parts. We’re so proud of them and wish we could pause time a little too. ❤️

I still wish for you at 11:11. The joys of my life. The answers to my endless and hopeless prayers. The finish of our family. The very best of friends. The IVF BOGO we never saw coming. Happy birthday Tyler. Three minutes the oldest and the brilliantly smart, tender teddy bear of our five. And happy birthday Caroline. My “beauty,” my bestie. The biggest heart in the world. I love being your mom. Happiest eleventh birthday. ❤️

A week ago and I’m still not over it. Best wedding day celebrating our beloved @lepyatt and @mattgreubel. Dressing up with my gals and my guy. Dancing the night away. These are the days. 📷incredible images by @laurafoote

I have to brag on @bryan_ley. For years I’ve been telling him to start a @substack. He is so gifted in finance and economics and has a way of explaining complicated topics in an easy-to-understand way. He’s co-owner of 8 businesses, and an active day trader. He started In Leyman’s Terms (get it 😏) a few weeks ago and it’s already the #4 fastest growing finance Substack in the world! 👏 Every week he and I are doing Substack Lives together where we take a big financial topic (so far we’ve tackled how to manage credit card debt and planning for retirement when you aren’t lucky enough to have a pension). He breaks it down by way of a Q&A (finance is not my thing so I just ask all the questions we’re all thinking). It’s funny, fun, and totally simplified. Free subscribers get occasional posts and previews and paid subscribers get weekly posts, the ability to comment, Q&As with B, and access to the whole archive. Link in my profile to sign up! Join us for our next live (the video recording will go up shortly after) this Thursday at 12:30pm CT.

POV: you’re ten years old, your buddy comes over, and your mom lets you loose in her sample cabinets with all the best school supplies. 🤩 What do you grab first…
