Big things coming very shortly to Plaza Midwood

Have a dream? Time to go for it, compadre. No one is going to do it for you.

At a time when Plaza Midwood is being occupied by private equity backed companies and huge multi-state chains, it’s time to invest in the neighborhood. Let’s keep plaza local.

Demo day! Huge day for Residency as the plans are being executed for our build out of a piano experience opening in 2027.

Ever been to a residency show before? Check out our videos to see what we do. It’s a really great feeling to be in the room with people you love singing at the top of your lungs.

Some surprise stuff is coming by way of what this space will offer, so stay tuned!

Residency Early 2027

Friends, we are getting a little antsy over here as this construction gets underway. Excited to see the demo happen Monday evening and the building begin!

If there’s one piece of decor you want to see in this room, what would it be? Dream big, our budget is unlimited*

Walls are coming down, floor is being cut, and the pipe is being laid asap as we race to finish this thing as soon as possible. Fear not, you’ll see the whole process, if you’re into that sort of thing.

* this is not true.

Highly recommend showing up to your own engagement.

A huge thanks to @bendsley for reminding me to show up (I promise this never happens), @carolinatheatreclt for providing the second love of my life (the stage)

&& @andyjweber thank you for capturing the most perfect pictures, and @eatpizzababy thanks for being our favorite date night spot & now engagement party spot & @defalcodefalco thanks for being the best all the time.

Thanks to all our friends and family who kept a big secret for a long time & showed up to celebrate 🥂

@bryaniscreating thanks for planning the perfect day (and not finding me completely insufferable). I love you.

Our friends at @shamelessimprov sold out at @threebonetheatre to raise money for this incredible organization. Founded in 2012, @threebonetheatre is a Charlotte-based nonprofit dedicated to creating socially engaged, professionally produced theater while championing equity, accessibility, and meaningful community connection through the arts.

We also wanted to share a few out of context photos as each show is improvised. You genuinely don’t know where you’re headed and half the time, neither does @shamelessimprov.

Great job, team!

♥️ @threebonetheatre ♥️
I mean, what do we even say. You guys showed up for us in the best way. Filled every seat in the house. You bought tickets and donated 💰 to one of the most important theaters we have here in Charlotte.

That was one of the best show experiences for us. Thank you to everyone who helped make that happen. Big thank you to the fantastic staff @artsfactoryclt 🙏

And the most special shoutout to our friend @retynesmiller One of the best people we have in our creative community. Your authenticity and passion is a gift to our city. It was an honor for us to perform on your stage. ♥️

Last week, @mattolincreative took @bryaniscreating onto @wbtv_news @qclife with @janaangeltv to introduce @shamelessimprov!

On August 5, they are performing at the Arts Factory, a show they’re calling Comedy about Love & Gossip, with all proceeds benefiting @threebonetheatre.

In addition to being a master improv artist, Bryan is a creative force in Charlotte – establishing @openricemet and @openriceblakeney as a restaurateur, and launching the beloved sing-along party series, @residencyclt, as a community organizer.

See Bryan and @shamelessimprov at @threebonetheatre for their fundraising show this Wednesday. There’s only 12 tickets left, so act fast!
