Swerve Strickland vs. The Undertaker. Raven vs. Killer Kross. This week, the mind games might be as good as the matches. 🔥

Fantasy Matchup Friday • October 16, 2026

Eight fantasy matchups crossing generations, styles and promotions:

⚰️ Swerve Strickland vs. The Undertaker
Swerve loves getting inside people’s heads. Against The Deadman, how far would he push it?

🥊 Katsuya Murashima vs. Mark Davis
Murashima trying to stand his ground while Davis tries to bulldoze straight through him.

💥 Kerry Von Erich vs. “Macho Man” Randy Savage
Two larger-than-life stars. Tornado Punch or Flying Elbow?

🐦‍⬛ Raven vs. Killer Kross
Give these two microphones before you give them a bell. This feud should feel uncomfortable.

⚡ Kyle Fletcher & Kevin Knight vs. Ilja Dragunov & Carmelo Hayes
The athleticism would be ridiculous. But Fletcher and Ilja trading shots might steal the whole match.

🐉 Bryan Danielson vs. Marcus Mathers
Mathers gets the opportunity. Danielson makes him fight for every second of it.

♟️ Christian Cage vs. Ricky “The Dragon” Steamboat
The guy who’ll take every shortcut against the guy you can’t help rooting for.

🔥 Andrade vs. Ilja Dragunov
Neither needs a long explanation. Give them a ring, enough time and a crowd ready for a fight.

Only one gets the main-event slot. Which match are you closing the show with?

During the Double or Nothing Buy In, Tony Khan announced that the tournament would return for another year, with the finals scheduled to take place in Owen Hart’s hometown of Calgary, Alberta, on the July 10 episode of Dynamite. The men’s and women’s tournament winners would each earn a championship match at All In, with the men’s winner challenging for the AEW World Championship and the women’s winner receiving an opportunity at the AEW Women’s World Championship.

The men’s tournament featured Claudio Castagnoli, PAC, Bryan Danielson, Shingo Takagi, Rey Fénix, Jay White, Jeff Jarrett, and “Hangman” Adam Page.

In the opening round, PAC defeated Claudio Castagnoli to advance to the semifinals. Danielson also progressed after defeating Shingo Takagi at Forbidden Door, setting up a semifinal match between Danielson and PAC on the following week’s episode of Dynamite.

Their first singles encounter took place on August 24, 2007, at Ring of Honor’s Caged Rage event, a match I just recently covered on the page. Danielson defeated PAC in their first meeting. The two wrestlers met again on May 3, 2009, at an IPW: UK event. Danielson once again came out on top, defeating PAC for the second time

On the July 3, 2024, episode of Dynamite, Danielson and PAC faced one another where Danielson secured the victory with a roll up, defeating PAC for the third and final time in their singles series. The result continued Danielson’s winning record against PAC and officially earned him a place in the Owen Hart Foundation Tournament final. Danielson ultimately defeated Page to win the 2024 Owen Hart Foundation Men’s Tournament. This victory secured him a championship opportunity against Swerve Strickland in the main event of All In at Wembley Stadium. 💯

What Suzuki learns before the match, he wins before the match, he lives rent free in your head.

Match 2.

A custom battle tested full blown classic posed sign piece, long sentence.

Match 1 took place around the Asahikawa Local Industry Center in Asahikawa, Hokkaido, for New Japan Pro Wrestling in bleak 20th July 2004.

A lot of learning from The American Dragon and fought the king of pro wrestling in 2021, another classic running back the rivalry with submissions and strikes, around Miami, Florida for the tenth episode of TNTs #AEWRampage.

Suzuki/Danielson kicking off that episode on the buy in, making it the important match on the card. That night especially.
