“It’s not networking. It’s the network.”

Spent this morning at Porsche North America with Cliff Oxford and the CliffCo community for their Thinktank.

One thing that stood out: there are no shortcuts to building a great company.

You have to know your lane.
Know your numbers.
Understand whether the business can truly scale.
Know when to invest, when to add revenue streams, and eventually, when it may be time to sell.

As a founder, it’s easy to get consumed by the next customer, the next event, the next feature, or the next opportunity. Rooms like this force you to zoom out and think about the company you’re actually building.

The older I get, the more I realize the goal isn’t to collect more contacts.

It’s to build a network of people who challenge your thinking, share what they’ve learned, and help you become a better entrepreneur over the long haul.

Grateful to spend the morning learning alongside some great category leaders in Atlanta.

I’ve had some of the best days of my life in this city. I’ve made memories I’ll carry with me forever and friendships I know will last long after I leave.

Saying goodbye to Savannah and the people who have made it feel like home is one of the hardest things I’ve ever had to do. But all good things eventually come to an end, and sometimes closing one chapter is the only way to begin another.
