The end of a chapter in the book of life.

Baseball has taught me so many life lessons and helped shape me into the person I am today. It taught me not to make excuses, not to point fingers, and not to take opportunities for granted. It also taught me how to be a servant leader, how to invest in others, and most importantly, how to value Christ above all.

I will never forget going to Steele Creek as a young kid, having a blast with my childhood buddies, trying out for middle/high school teams, and achieving my dream of playing collegiate baseball.

The Lord blessed me by leading me to Milligan where I’d be surrounded by people that would challenge me both in the sport and in my faith. I was able to find some of my closest friends and eventually, my future wife.

I can’t express how thankful I am for the support of my parents, the guidance they have given me through it all, and the thousands and thousands of baseballs that my dad threw to me over the years. That is ultimately what I will miss the most, going to the local ball field with my old man.

I will forever be grateful for everything this game has given me. Now onto the real world!
