$MORPHE 2026 @dianamatos x @calvitjr almost 2 months later since the start of this process & i still find myself in disbelief. i am completely in awe of you both. you two have taught me what it truly means & takes to strive for excellence. i loved to sit and observe, completely enthralled watching you two work out solutions. it was inventive & insanely creative, yet also so strategic and mathematical. i feel the honor and the responsibility of this achievement. i am so grateful that you two would see something inside of me. and also, i recognize that all i was given— i also have to pay forward. i’m ecstatic to see how i measure up to the assignment. i aspire to impact a fraction of what the two of you have done for dance. thank you both. MORPHE4L 🩷 🩷 @rtbrothas what an absolute privilege. this is an insane photo to see. i was stoked when i learned i was in this piece. closing out the first act, dancing wall to wall every run through felt like an unfolding. a testing. a time to ask myself: “am i showing up for myself in this moment?” this piece holds a special place in my heart. i am grateful. i started tearing up when @ivankoumaev & @luz_nyc taught us the material. i called my grandparents immediately, in pure disbelief that little nena got to learn choreography from absolute giants! im still buzzing!!! 3 nominations later thank you @ian_eastwood for the first 2 nominations, showing me what was possible. crazy how locked in we are now. my mentor, my big brother, the absolute most genius-est guy i know. thank you for putting me on music, movies, choreographers, and my own talent. i vividly remember standing in your driveway when you said “what if we all got together to dance every wednesday?” crazy what it’s turned into. i have soo much i could say but i feel like you already know bro. i’m so inspired by you man. my respect for you is beyond. love you dawg. @dianamatos houston was a crazy city for me. such a low point in my life. i didn’t even have my rent for the next month, and yet i heard God speak to me, probably the clearest i’ve ever had. i just KNEW, i had to go to houston monsters. the wednesday before, i was outside ian’s garage$
