Meet the second narrative of FOUR we have happening this year at A Canon Event: Charleston.

Our gorgeous venue this time is @The Gadsden House

ACT 1: The Getting Ready Room.

What if your people are just your people and you all get ready together?

We’re taking that idea and making it feel like the most fun version of playing dress up as a kid, except now there’s champagne, really good clothes, and a room full of people you actually want to be around.

Think The Parent Trap, The Princess Diaries, and that feeling of opening your closet as a kid and deciding today was the day you were going to become someone completely different.

Lively. A little ridiculous. Very glamorous. Very much about the people.

ACT 2: A cocktail hour with the same cast wrapped in layers of gorgeous fabric and inspired by the theatricality of 1950s movie-musical sound stages draped floor to ceiling by @velvet.houseco.

Think Gene Kelly dance sequences. White Christmas, Singin’ in the Rain, An American in Paris.

Our incredible DJ @whatsupobehi from @cheersthecollective will pull from 1950s sounds alongside different cultural influences, so the room feels less like a period recreation and more like a living, evolving fun space full of celebrations.

And that’s one of my favorite things about building these scenes: we’re not recreating something or trying to make a wedding look like one specific movie.

We’re taking pieces of things we love- fashion, film, music, architecture, nostalgia and asking: what happens when we put all of this together and let it run wild.

You’re invited to be in the middle of it.
