Ummmmm how the hell do I encapsulate what this summer has meant to me in 20 photos? I won’t even try, but hopefully this gives you a sense of how insanely beautiful it has been to spend 5 months in a place I’ve loved since I was kid, watching spring turn to summer and then summer to fall, putting on plays in a 99-year-old theater with the most hard-working and fun people I’ve ever met (and one ghost). When I asked @alifarina7 in my interview how she would describe her Cape Playhouse summers, she neglected to tell me about the squirrels nests and chain hoists I would encounter, but she described it in one word as “dreamy.” And even with the dumpster dives and overnights, I think that word pretty much sums it up.

In true Emma fashion, my 2025 wrapped post is late. I had to spend some time thinking about those 365 days. I will be honest, 2025 felt like a crummy year. I had to come to terms with a lot of emotions, which is already big as a girl who cries over literally everything. I faced mental health struggles, went through a breakup and a reunion with my boyfriend, made new friends while drifting from others, lost my “spark” along the way, fell in love with crocheting and I pushed myself beyond my boundaries as a performer. I cried. So much. I miss my dad more than ever before. But… 2025 wasn’t a complete failure. For starters, I did 3 musicals! 2 being dream shows. I got to sing alongside some wonderful people and see my hard work pay off. I stage managed a traveling show on the Cape. I started taking my pet care business more seriously. I was my biggest cheerleader while simultaneously trying to not be my biggest critic. There is a lot I have to be thankful for about 2025. I’m proud of myself for making it through! So here’s to 2026, because I’m planning on it being the most healing and abundant year of my 20s 🫶🏼🥂

A year in review… One year, four shows, a ton of friends to share, sorry to anyone I couldn’t include in this post, there’s so many of year and I appreciate everyone that I’ve spent this year with! Love you all and happy new year!!!🎆 🎊 🎆can’t wait to spend 2026 with you all!!!🎉🎉🎉

“Happiness is singing together when day is through, and happiness is those who sing with you.” My heart is full as we close this show. 🩷 It’s not everyday that you cross paths with such a perfect team, and this show was everything I could’ve hoped for. The talent, kindness, encouragement, passion and love that flowed through the theater every single night was infectious. To my 5 fellow Peanuts, I love you so much, and I couldn’t imagine doing this show with anyone else. My little family. To my 6 junior Peanuts, you are little rockstars who gave it your all, and I’m so proud of you. To my 2 directors, thank you for believing in me through every step of this process. Every single person who was either involved in this process or came to see this show, thank you so so much. Every ounce of support has not gone unnoticed, and I feel so lucky to be able to share my joy with you all. Sally Brown, you have been the role of a lifetime. A dream come true. My over-dramatic, sweet, menacing, opinionated and loving gal!! I am endlessly grateful. 🎀🌟🐰📝🍦
