This time last Fall, my baby girl accepted a proposal that without a doubt was written in every star and every rock in the incredible Palo Duro Canyon. Both of these Austin kids with ancestral ties to this most magical of Panhandle places. 💓 As we are now in "wedding month" - Ima 'bout to get obnoxious with the posts, celebrating the best daughter I could have ever hoped for. Beyond my wildest dreams. From the moment I caught sight of her deep dimple and that sweet face, born on my 30th birthday 💕, I loved her before I knew her. God is so GOOD. 💓 Bear with me, folks. 10/25/26 is coming soon. 💍🥂

So 20 years ago, I was leading this class of 4 & 5 year olds during our VBS week - "Mega Camp Fun" - at Austin Christian Fellowship. There was an adorable little boy pictured here far right in the front row. I thought he was precious and funny - an all-around super likeable kiddo. I knew his parents through church and met his sweet MaMaw Jo Hill @tommiejohill that week too as she was also helping at ACF. Amazing that she lived in Canadian, Texas, as a girl and knew so many Panhandle things! I just loved her.

Fast-forward and that adorable little birthday boy @zaneh1ll who turns 25 TODAY is going to marry the little blonde girl in the back in pink @brynne.wright 💍 . . and he will be my son-in-law! If that isn't written in the Heavens, I don't know what is. 🙏🏼💖Happy 25th, Zane!!! We love you.
