Everything happens for a reason

Shortly after Puerto Rico I stared dealing with some stomach issues which was progressively getting worse through out the months. At the end of April I started showing symptoms of Red- S but didn’t think anything of it and kept training and racing as planned. Soon enough these symptoms started showing in my training and racing, I would feel great for about 20 minutes and then have nothing left to give. I would wake up for race morning and feel so tired mentally and physically which made it hard to get motivated. I felt like I was never recovering and I thought this was all normal. Eventually my body had enough, forcing me to pull out of the race which mentally crushed me.

Soon enough we got some test done and found out I’ve been dealing with SIBO which eventually led to Red-S from my body not being able to absorb nutrients properly.
Hearing this shortly before nationals was pretty heartbreaking since Ive been looking forward to it all year but I am also very relieved to finally have answers!

I know this is all apart of the journey and giving much motivation to get healthy and work hard for next season!

Looking back I am still super happy with what I was able to achieve this year, the opportunities I got, and all the new places I got to go to!

I am so grateful to @jpfurn @majafurniss @dennisvanwinden @orangesealacademy for helping me figure all this out and helping me stay positive through it all!
Big thanks to @donovan_racing_off_road_team for an awesome season and for all the love and support! Cant wait for all of them to crush it at nationals 🧡

Now time to focus on getting healthy and ready for the upcoming collegiate races this fall with @flccycling‼️

Finished a National race at my home course for the @usprocup race series! Killer course that you gotta power up. So proud of how my team showed up and I’m glad I was able to get 4th overall in the series- I’ve learned so much being part of @rouleurdevo and training by @zachcalton 🐐 Time for Virginia next! Can’t wait 🔥

Thank you to my family and our sponsors for a great season🔥

Canada Cup Canmore 2026!! 🇨🇦 @canmoremtbclassic
I had such a wonderful time racing my favorite course this year!! I'm super proud of myself and how they went! things are starting to really feel like they are coming together for me!!! On the first XCO I got 9th, I felt super good and was happy with that one! On the second XCO I got 10th with a huge crash right before the last lap! I'm so happy with my grit at these races! I was the 3rd 🇺🇸 in both races which I'm so happy about! I had so much support at these races and nothing can make me push harder than being cheered on by family!! I'm so grateful for everything everyone did for me!! I'm so happy for my teammates as well!! Next up, home course SoHo!!
