Amazon won’t hand-stamp your bag, hand-pour your soap, carve your lino, or tell you your outfit is amazing. Buy from actual humans this season — it feels better, looks better, and supports the community you live in. Come and find us at Nether Regions, 59a Clyde Road, Brighton BN1 4NN from 11-5 this weekend! #artistsopenhousebrighton #shoplocal #supporthandmade #brightonandhove #brightonartist

Here’s a throwback to our summer opening — full of laughter, chatter, and that buzzy sense of creative community we love so much. Next Friday, we’re back — but with fairy lights, hot drinks, and grumpy Krampus to watch over things.

🗓 Friday 28 November, from 5.30pm
📍 Nether Regions, Venue 52, Artist Open House Winter Festival, BN1 4NN
🎟️ Free entry
👆RSVP via link in bio so we can manage numbers.

Guest Artist Spotlight: @bryonymayart

After their fabulous work went down a storm in the May Artist Open Houses Fest, we’re delighted to be welcoming back Bryony May Art as part of Nether Regions for the Winter Open House. Bryony is an Agender Disabled Autistic Queer Anarchist Artist. Their vibrant work mainly revolves around Anarchist values and inclusive representation. Their illustration work is hand-drawn and then embellished in Photoshop. Their resin work is created using layers of UV resin with colouring, text and embellishments between the layers. Come and see Bryony’s work as part of Nether Regions this Winter.

Happy Pride! 🏳️‍⚧️🏳️‍🌈 We recently went to @thepeoplesproudpicnic, what we found was a relaxed, joyous event full of Queer joy, art and love. We especially loved that it is an intersectional, grassroots, anticapitalist celebration prioritising community, liberation and protest. It reminds us that Pride is not only a celebration but a protest, and a fight for LGBTQI+ rights, against discrimination and systematic oppression, especially in today’s political climate when these rights are being eroded. When we look at what Pride events have become - commercialised, expensive and just an excuse for a party, we especially love these smaller community-led spaces.

“The People's Proud Picnic Of Worthing is free yearly event in Worthing for all of the LGBTQIA+ community and our supportive friends and family. It is free so that no one is excluded due to their income. It is anticapitalist and unsponsored so that it is not beholden to companies interests and influence.

We gather in a park and enjoy an open mic for anyone under the rainbow to share their voice via poetry, song, story, speech or any other kind of performance that feels right to them, with the goal of bringing together community, learning from one another and sharing our queer joy and revolutionary spirit ❤️🏳️‍⚧️🏳️‍🌈”
