POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

My first PGA Jr. League All-Star season was a special one. After taking first place at the Local Qualifier back home and at Sectionals in Oregon, we arrived at the Regional Championship in Idaho with one goal: to get that spot to Nationals. We advanced to the semi-finals, the youngest team there, and although we came up short we played our hearts out. I’m so proud of this team.

Best of all, Team Chambers Bay Birdie Blitz became my really good friends. It was nonstop fun on and off the course, making a lot of memories together.

Shoutout to @avalee_253 for being an incredible playing partner and to Coaches @monteinstruction and Christian for your guidance and dedication to making this an unforgettable experience.

Can’t wait to get after it again next season!

🏆 REGIONALS — MORE MEMORIES ⛳️❤️

The scores tell part of the story… but these are the moments we’ll remember.

Two Chambers Bay teams. 16 players. One unforgettable weekend at the PGA Jr. League Regional Championship.

⚡️ 13U Birdie Blitz — T-3rd, earning their way into the semifinals and battling against some of the best teams in the region.

🐂 17U RedBull — 5th overall, with Wyatt & Nixon finishing the weekend by firing -4 in the 9-hole Shootout, tying for 1st out of 32 teams before taking 2nd in the scorecard playoff! 🔥

But Regionals was about so much more than where we finished.

The laughs. The nerves. The fist bumps. The teammates picking each other up. The parents cheering. The memories made between shots.

I’m incredibly proud of these 16 kids and grateful I get to be their coach.

Two teams. One goal. 16 players. One heck of a weekend. ❤️⛳️

Two teams. One Chambers Bay family. 🏌⛳️🏌️‍♀️

A weekend to remember at the PGA Jr. League Regional Championship in Nampa, Idaho!

🏅 13U Birdie Blitz: Advanced to the semifinals and finished TIED FOR 3RD!

🏅 17U Redbull: Earned a 5TH-PLACE finish!

🔥 Wyatt Ligon & Nixon Dremousis shot 4-under through nine holes in the shootout, tying for the lowest score! A four-hole scorecard playoff settled the tie, earning them 2ND PLACE! 👏

The scores tell part of the story. This video tells the rest, the friendships, the laughter, the teamwork, and the memories we made along the way.

Thank you to our families, Coach Christian, and everyone who supported these players and helped make this trip possible.

To every player: I’m proud to be your coach!!💙
~ Coach Matt

WE’RE GOING TO REGIONALS!!!

I could not be more proud to announce that Chambers Bay is sending TWO PGA Jr. League teams to the Regional Championship in Nampa, Idaho!

13U BIRDIE BLITZ
17U RED BULL

That’s 16 junior and their families who have earned the opportunity to represent Chambers Bay on the regional stage. With a chance to make it all the way to NATIONALS!

We need your help…

Between tournament fees, flights, hotels, rental cars, food and everything else, families can easily spend $2,000+ to give their child the opportunity they worked so hard to earn.

So I started a GoFundMe to try to help.

Whatever we raise will be divided evenly between all 16 families.

$5 helps. $20 helps. $100 helps. EVERYTHING helps.

And if you can’t donate, PLEASE SHARE THIS POST.

Sharing costs absolutely nothing, and you never know who it might reach.

These kids did the hard part.

They earned it.

Now let’s help get them there.

NEXT GOAL: NATIONALS.

Yesterday was fun, out there competing again with my friends, it wasn’t my best round, shaky at times but feel like I know what I need to work on. One triple kept me away from top 3 and 3 squishy’s (bet with my mom) 🫣

Congrats to all! Roy, Roy, Griffin, Bryson, Ayden, Turner, Jed. Always an honor getting to compete with you all ⭐️’s ! And thanks @wjga1976 for hosting this event! We’ll see you next time! On to the next!
