(2/3) Bryson was effortlessly creative and dedicated to mastering whatever hobby or craft drew him in. When he was skating as a teenager or playing disc golf at in his early 20s, he made it look easy. In the early 2010s MC Actafewl was, in his own words, “on some grab the mic by the horns typa shit,” with endlessly prolific and charmingly profane bars. Around the same time, his palette went from 0 to 100. Once famously stubborn in his taste for Budweiser tall boys, Bryson developed a sophisticated palette and became a passionate cook, finding himself on the inaugural line in one of SB’s best new restaurants where he eventually became kitchen manager. While he was great at his job and proud of his restaurant work, he loved cooking most for Amanda, his family, and his friends, and we were so lucky for it. When he decided to shift his focus to graphic design, there was no question that he would find his style and perfect it. His lettering from the Zoroe days translated seamlessly into a knack for creating logos and branding that local businesses and organizations were quickly catching onto. His illustration style, filled with waves and tropical plants, made you want to spend hours on the beach. And in each of Bryson’s many talents he was genuinely humble, yet had enough words of encouragement and admiration for his friends to make their ego explode.

Bryson was also a true romantic. One of my earliest memories of him from 7th grade was when he came to school with an elaborate Valentine’s Day gift for one of our classmates. When years later he and Amanda got together, it was exactly the kind of relationship you wish for your friends. Amanda, the home that you and Bryson created was more than any apartment or physical space. Spending time with the two of you was always comforting and hilarious, from cooking dinner together in your first apartment downtown, to hanging out in my parents’ backyard last year, with Louie running around Bryson’s trademark fun socks-and-Birkenstocks. Amanda, thank you for making him so happy, and filling him with so much love, energy, and confidence.
