The future is BRIGHT! Two days, over 1,200 Greenhands, and so many memories that I’ll carry with me. Getting to spend these past two days pouring into the next generation of FFA members has been such a blessing. There is something so special about seeing students who are just beginning their FFA journey get excited about the opportunities, friendships, leadership, and experiences that are ahead of them.

Being able to serve as an Area Officer and have the opportunity to encourage these Greenhands has reminded me why I love FFA so much. I hope each student walked away knowing that this is only the beginning and that there are so many opportunities waiting for them!

So thankful for these two days, the people I got to serve alongside, and every Greenhand who made Area Greenhand Camp 2026 so special. The future of the Texas FFA is BRIGHT! 🌱💙✨

Over the past month I’ve gotten the opportunity to meet so many new faces across our area, from Cross Timbers District Fun Day to Oil Belt, Pecan Valley, and Wichita Districts Greenhand Camps, and finally wrapping up with our Area IV Greenhand Camp these past few days.

43 workshops and many miles later, I am proud to say that the future of Area IV is so so bright.

What an impactful experience it has been getting to meet, know, and encourage the next generation of leaders of this organization! Spending time with the greenhands and getting to see their excitement, curiosity, and willingness to step out of their comfort zones has been so rewarding!! I am endlessly grateful for this opportunity even more grateful to do this alongside my sweet friends! Getting to learn, laugh, and work alongside eachother while serving has made the experiences even more special 🥳🥳

It’s always a great day to be back home. Thank you to the current Area IV officers Rhett, Triton, Leah, Marley, Eric, Eli, Emma, Hudson, Kynlee, Audrey, Maggie, and Brystal for thinking of me and allowing me to come home and surprise some of the people who built me into who I am today. I was more than happy to return to Greenhand Camp and gift Mr. Long, Mrs. Tittor, and Riley Farris with signed apparel. I wish all of you the best during your year of service and keep pushing forward. I love the Texas FFA Area IV and everything we stand for.

How blessed am I to be surrounded by people who make me fulfilled with joy. While Brendan and I may be a little salty about our bill I couldn’t be happier we had the opportunity to be vetoed and told no. Until next time kelly green…
