Well… we survived 🥵🔥🥵 These last two weeks have been an inferno. We had Week of Hope volunteer with us the last two weeks and they worked right alongside us, pouring sweat and probably tears, helping us keep up the farm work. Precious volunteers dropped off popsicles, snow cones and water guns trying to keep us cool and spirits high. We took LOTS of creek breaks. The COTC garden had a big volunteer day and knocked out a huge checklist for me 💚 Grateful for EVERYONE that showed up in this heat and worked so hard. We planted PUMPKINS last week 😳 It always shocks me how fast we get to this part of the season. Kibrom’s corn is now getting pulled and made into gorgeous bundles for fall decorations. I’m so proud of our team. I love these people fiercely 💚 #cul2vate #cotcgarden #growingfoodgrowingpeople #farmgirl #cul2vatefarms #gardening #cotc #franklintn #nashvilletn

We have had a busy few weeks at the Cul2vate Farms. This week, we harvested over 600 lbs of taters, couple hundred pounds of beets and over 400 lbs of cucumbers. We had our first harvests of tomatoes, cabbage and broccoli 🍅🥬🥦 My co-pilot FINALLY had his knee surgery, so he is rolling around in the mule telling people to get off his lawn 🤣 The @oneelmington group came out and volunteered this week and I am so grateful for their hard work. Lots of great volunteers this week. If you would like to volunteer, we definitely need you starting in June. Go to Cul2vate.org to sign up. We harvested the first raspberries of the season at the COTC garden and planted a bunch of flowers. It was so nice to be back on that sweet piece of land. Blackberries and blueberries are on their way!!! Stop by our farm store at the Ellington Farm Tues, Fri and Sat from 9-12 or come see us at Farmin’ in the Hall on Thurs 4:30-7, 451 Hogan Road. #cul2vate #cotcgarden #growingfoodgrowingpeople #farmgirl #gardening #cul2vatefarms
