A new gas plant in Port Richmond? 🚨

PGW wants to build a liquefied natural gas (LNG) plant at Delaware Ave & Venango St, and they’ve ignored our neighborhood’s concerns every step of the way.

So we’re coming together. Neighbors, local organizers, a physician, and an engineer will break down what this plant could mean for our health, our safety, and our gas bills. We’ll also share what’s happened so far trying to get answers from PGW and action from the Philadelphia Gas Commission.

Come learn the facts, ask your questions, and help decide what we do next to demand transparency and accountability.

📅 Wednesday, October 28
🕕 6 to 7 PM
📍 Cohocksink Recreation Center

All neighbors welcome. No background knowledge needed. Food provided! 🍽️

PGW raised your bill. Its CEO flew to Florida.

CEO Seth Shapiro took four years of free trips to Phillies spring training and never reported what they were worth. Meanwhile, PGW paid over $1 million from our bills to advertise gas at Phillies games.

Nothing new here. PGW executives do as they please and leave Philadelphians in the dark. This shady pattern from our city owned utility ain’t right.

We own PGW. It should answer us.
