Sometimes the feel you need isn’t what the swing actually looks like🔬

We wanted to get on plane and drive the ball in the air… but trying to create that ball flight was actually making the body do too much.

Change the feel. Let the video show you the real. ⚾️🧃

TAKE YOUR SWING🧃

Working with hitters of all ages has taught me that sometimes it’s good to tell them where to hit the ball, where the goal is to hit the ball during a certain drill.

I find when hitters get hyper-focused on doing what they are told because they are coachable. They may start to manipulate the bat🪄

Manipulating the bat is the last thing we want to do. Our contact point and out direction (bat path) will dictate where the ball goes, along with pitch location.

It is important to have bat to ball skills and being able to control the ball and hit it to all parts of the field but IT IS NOT because we are manipulating our bat and forcing the ball there.

We adjust our contact point and hold our direction.

This closed side angled flips can be a great feedback drill to see if you are allowing the ball to get deep and then taking your swing with good direction📈

Bryson Summey from North Lincoln HS going CRAZY THIS PAST WEEKEND🧃

My man went 5 for 10, with a backside HR which you will see in this clip.

He’s doing a phenomenal job of hitting from behind the ball and engaging his lower half.

Class of 2028 Grad who’s looking to have an amazing Summer to gain EVEN MORE traction.

Such a talented player and even better person! Such a pleasure working with him and Sky is the limit⚡️📈
