Week 1 of 12 training plan ✅
.
Solid week of training. Adhering to the high/low protocol by alternating between high intensity days and lower intensity recovery days, prioritizing more extensive plyometrics and isometric movements in this first phase, as well as a @thestacksystem return to form session to end the week

Week 1 of 12
.
Isometric-focused lower body lift (swipe for more)

Started off with supersets pairing extensive pogos with deep tier work (oscillatory isometric)

Main lift of the day: (super fun) 3-point isometric zercher squat

Accessory work. I tend to slack on these due to a lack of time, so I’m making an emphasis to not skip on these for the next 12 weeks

Always end with a daily dose of golf-specific mobility drills. Got the first exercise from @abfitnessandgolf

12 weeks left in 2026. Racing to the finish line
#beanathlete #athleticdad #golfworkouts

Inspired by the modified triphasic methodology, each 2-4 week block will prioritize a specific movement phase, starting with isometric -> eccentric -> concentric -> peaking
.
Continuing to focus on athletic development in my training (jumping, sprinting, throwing, lifting)

At 39, I need to be diligent at balancing high intensity days and lower-intensity recovery days
.
The concept is simple: alternate between CNS-intensive days (jumps, sprints, lifting) and low intensity days (mobility, cardio) to optimize recovery, maximize performance, and prevent burnout

1. 30” vertical 🐰

A good week of training 👌
First consistent week of training in awhile, tbh.
Chasing clubhead speed for golf and chasing vertical jump for the fun of it #golfspeedtraining #golffitness #athleticdad #beanathlete #verticaljumps

Chasing 30” vertical before I turn 40 #BeAnAthlete

First time trying pin squats - wanted something to emphasize the concentric portion. Best approach jump rep at 26.5” today @ovrperformance

Took an impromptu deload week last week due to work and life commitments (low volume, manageable intensity)
.
Goal is to ease back into training this week. More general prep, more volume, more intensity #golfworkout #beanathlete #dadworkouts #athleticdad

The goal is simple: be more athletic before it’s too late 👌

Turning 40 next year means I can’t afford to take my fitness for granted. Use it or lose it #dadworkout #athleticdad #beanathlete
