Brettzilla turns 21 today. 🥳🍾

It’s hard to believe it’s been 21 years since we evacuated during a hurricane just 24 hours after he came roaring into this world.

He’s been causing just the right amount of chaos 🌀ever since.

Funny, quick-witted, fiercely independent, and never short of energy, life with Brett has never been boring. If you’ve met him, you know exactly what I mean.

Watching him grow into the young man he is has been one of the greatest joys of my life. I know Scott would have loved seeing the person he’s become, and I think he’d be incredibly proud. (And he’d definitely be cracking open his best bourbon to celebrate 🎉)

Happy 21st, Brettzilla. Keep taking the world by storm. Love you more than you’ll ever know. ❤️

Weeks 24 and 25 on 30A

The last couple of weeks included Dirty Bingo wrapping up Bailey Brigade’s months at Redd’s, two trips to Pescado for the Bailey Brigade Smash, inspired by Scott’s love of a good bourbon 🥃 , where every one sold in June supports Bailey Brigade, a thrift store treasure hunt at Caring & Sharing, Melting Pot for some girl time and chocolate, client lunch at Seagrove Market, checked out Tahona Tacos & Tequileria , Outcast Pizza for the best thin crust in town, and a belated birthday 🎂 dinner with girlfriends at Tommy Bahama.

So yes…there was a lot of eating and drinking 🥂

After a week of good food and even better company, I wrapped it up at @maryryanbr0wn’s popup show. Somewhere between laughing until my stomach hurt and having to wipe tears from my eyes so I could see, I decided that was about as good as a Saturday night gets.
