Central State, thank you for more than my degree.🥺🤞🏼

Thank you for shaping me, stretching me, and helping mold me into the woman I am. For being a place where I can show up as myself, no matter how long I’ve been away.

Central State University Homecoming 2026 was personal.

This year, I stepped outside my comfort zone and brought BTB Artistry home. I created content for others while making room to tell my own story. I returned to the classroom to share how the relationships I built at Central helped me get where I am today. Through Central Culture 101, we made space for real conversations about what this place means to us.

Because I love the turn-up. 😂 But the purpose, the people, and the stories deserve to be seen, too.

To everyone who poured into me, told me they were proud of me, supported my work, or saw my light before I could see it myself: thank you. Those moments meant more than you know.

And that last slide? Whew.

The girl at candlelight in 2012 had no idea what she was doing. She was just open to the adventure.

The girl on the plot in 2016 thought she knew exactly what she was going to do. God led her down another path.

Looking at both of them beside the woman I am in 2026 is mind-boggling. I’ve grown into a woman with the confidence, boldness, and faith to know who she is in Christ and trust Him with where she’s going.

And for that… I don’t even have all the words. Just gratitude.

Thank you, Central. Thank You, God. I’m looking forward to what comes next.

Soul food is creative too😋

At Color of Summer, I talked with @soulfoodfix614 about their Cups of Soul, layered with mac and cheese, greens, sweet potatoes, and your choice of barbecue chicken, barbecue ribs, or smoked salmon.

And they did not stop there. They brought the original Knockout Punch and carrot cake to complete the experience.

What stood out most was the heart behind the food. From cleaning greens to peeling sweet potatoes to praying over the people they serve, Soul Food Fix made it clear that every detail is rooted in love, quality, faith, and purpose.

Creativity showed up everywhere at Color of Summer. In the visual art, the fashion, the music, the community, and yes, in the food too.

And as he said, God is the ultimate Creator. So when we create, serve, build, cook, design, and pour into people with intention, we reflect the One who created us.

Finished an 8 week transformation challenge with @_kingsathletics_ , so I took myself to @ourfoodtruckfestival as a little reward. I came for the food, but honestly the people ended up being the story.

I got to connect with some amazing businesses including @faithxcustoms , @juellzdesignzhaircare, and of course I had to stop by @soulfoodfix614 . Good food, good vibes, and a reminder that community will do it every time💚

Columbus, Ohio has the talent, and @the61404 is creating the stage.

@iamtaylornixon and @londonelixirlx are building a bridge between the Columbus and Atlanta music scenes while creating performance opportunities, workshops, education, and resources for artists here in the city.

We talked about bringing knowledge back to Columbus, giving local artists greater visibility, and having the faith to pursue your vision even when the next step feels uncertain.
