🇳🇦 Namibia has felt like an actual dream. I’m truly living a perfect dream it’s like I’m in another planet, it’s soo beautiful I don’t think I’ve ever seen anything like this before.

This is Deadvlei, which means ‘dead marsh’ in Afrikaans where the trees have been standing for 600-900 years. They died when giant sand dunes blocked their water source, but the desert air is so dry they simply refused to decompose.

I hiked up Big Daddy, one of the highest sand dunes in Namibia, which took about an hour, then walked down into Deadvlei. Worth knowing there’s also a decent walk before you reach the trees.

The beauty of the desert is fascinating and although the temperature was 114 🥵 in the shade I still had an amazing time…
